Visit Visa in Indonesia

Visit Visa is a visa issued for a foreign citizen bearer of a regular passport who wishes to visit Indonesia for a short period of time of which doesn’t involve paid-working activities. Therefore, Visit Visa is not suitable for Work purposes. Generally, foreigners can apply for Visit Visa in the Indonesian Embassy or Consulates, or the guarantor could apply to the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta, Indonesia.

There are 4 kinds of Visit Visa in general, hence:

1. Single Entry Visitor Visa – B211A

This type of visa is valid for activities such as:

1.  Tourism, 8.  Discussing business,
2.  Family, 9.  Buying goods,
3.  Social, 10.  Giving lectures or attending a workshop,
4.  Art and culture, 11.  Attending international exhibition,
5.  Government visit, 12.  Attending a meeting held by the head office or
 representative office in Indonesia,
6.  Non-commercial sport, 13.  Continuing journey to other countries,
7.  A comparative study, short course, 14.  Joining the mean of transport in
 and short training,  Indonesian territory.

Duration of Stay :

 Maximum 60 days
(can be extended 4 times at most, each extension granted not more than 30 days)

Requirements :

  • Original passport with more than 6 months validity,
  • The stateless person needs travel document with more than 12 months validity,
  • Sponsor letter from sponsor except for tourism,
  • Evidence of having cost living of he or she and or family while visiting Indonesia at least
    USD 1500 (one thousand five hundred dollars),
  • Return ticket or ticket to continue the journey to another country except for crew member transiting to join a ship and to continue the journey to another country, and also
  • Two colored passport photo sized 4 cm x 6 cm.

2. Single Entry Visitor Visa- B211B

This type of visa is valid for industrial visit activities (requiring Director-General approval) include such as:

  • Provide guidance, counseling, and training in the application and innovation of industrial technology to improve the quality and design of industrial products as well as overseas marketing cooperation for Indonesia,
  • Carry out audits, quality control of production or inspection of branches of companies in Indonesia (activities for more than 1 month must obtain a Temporary Stay Permit or KITAS),
  • Prospective foreign workers in the ability to test work.

Including activities as stated in the B211A index.

Duration of Stay :

 Maximum 60 days
(can be extended at most 4 times, each extension is granted not more than 30 days)

Requirements :

  • A valid passport and is still valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months,
  • Valid travel documents and still valid for a minimum of 12 (twelve) months for foreigners without citizenship,
  • Guarantee letter from the guarantor except for visits in the context of tourism,
  • A proof of having a living cost for himself and or his family while in Indonesia, at least
    USD $1500 (one thousand five hundred US dollars),
  • Return ticket or continuous ticket to continue traveling to another country except for a crew of transportation equipment who will stop by to join their ship and continue their journey to another country, and also
  • Color photographs with sizes of 4 cm x 6 cm (four centimeters by six centimeters) of 2 (two) sheets.

3. Single Entry Visitor Visa- B211C

Journalistic and non-commercial filming (need Director General of Immigration’s approval) covering such as:

1. Journalistic which has been granted a permit by an authorized institution,
2. Non-commercial film making and already acquired permit from an authorized institution,
including by activities as mentioned in index B211A.

Duration of Stay :

 Maximum 60 days
(can be extended 4 times at most, each extension granted not more than 30 days)

Requirements :

  • A valid passport and is still valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months,
  • Valid travel documents and still valid for a minimum of 12 (twelve) months for foreigners without citizenship,
  • Guarantee letter from the guarantor except for visits in the context of tourism,
  • A proof of having a living cost for himself and or his family while in Indonesia, at least
    USD $1500 (one thousand five hundred US dollars),
  • Return ticket or continuous ticket to continue traveling to another country except for a crew of transportation equipment who will stop by to join their ship and continue their journey to another country, and also
  • Color photographs with sizes of 4 cm x 6 cm (four centimeters by six centimeters) of 2 (two) sheets.

4. Multiple Entry Visitor Visa- D212

This type of visa is valid for activities such as:

  • Family,
  • Social,
  • Art and culture,
  • Government duties,
  • Conducting business talks,
  • Purchase goods,
  • Attend seminars,
  • Take part in international exhibitions,
  • Attend meetings held with head office or representative in Indonesia, and also
  • Continue traveling to other countries.

Duration of Stay :

  • One year, every time you stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 60 days.
  • Five years, every time you stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 60 days.

Requirements :

  • A valid passport and is still valid for a minimum of 6 (six) years,
  • Valid travel documents and still valid for a minimum of 12 (twelve) months for foreigners without citizenship,
  • Guarantee letter from the guarantor,
  • A proof of having a living cost for himself and or his family while in Indonesia, at least
    USD $1500 (one thousand five hundred US dollars),
  • Return ticket or continuous ticket to continue traveling to another country except for crew of transportation equipment who will stop by to join their ship and continue their journey to another country, and also
  • Color photographs with sizes of 4 cm x 6 cm (four centimeters by six centimeters) of 2 (two) sheets.
