THE PRESIDENT APPROVED THE EXTENSION OF THE ENTRY PROHIBITION FOR FOREIGNERS TO INDONESIA

The Coordinator Minister for the Economy Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, conveys that the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, approved the extension of the prohibition on entry of foreigners (WNA) to Indonesia until January 28th, 2021. It is stated at a limited meeting in Jakarta, on Monday.

The meeting lead by President Joko Widodo specifically discussed the government’s concrete steps to narrow the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia.

Previously, at the Limited Meeting on December 28th, 2020, the government has decided to temporarily close the entry of foreigners from January 1 to 14, 2021.


It is stated, based on this determination, the entry prohibition for foreigners will be enforced until January 28th, 2021. In addition, the government has also implemented the Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) due to positive cases of Covid-19 which have continued to increase after the Christmas and New Year holidays..
