Qatar Airways is Ready to Fly Back to Bali 3 times a Day.

Qatar Airways is targeting to be able to fly back to Bali 3 times a day after the government reopened international flight restrictions for foreign tourists.

Vice President Sales for Qatar Airways South East Asia (SEA), Southwest Pacific & Indian Subcontinent (SWP & ISC) Jared Lee hopes that international movement and tourist arrivals on the Island of the Gods (Bali) will gradually recover in line with the policies issued by the Indonesian Government.

“So once market demand increases and recovers, we can immediately serve routes to Bali again. Just like before, we usually serve 3 flights a day,” he told Bisnis, Monday, November 22, 2021.

Explore New Destinations in Indonesia

Jared observes that so far there are many indicators that show that people also intend to start opening relationships with families who are outside the city, exploring new destinations, or even returning to their favorite destinations. In addition, there are many other markets that companies can capture, such as students because Qatar Airways has launched a special program for students called the student club.

The special student program from Qatar Airways was launched in the long term aimed at gaining loyalty from an early age and is something that other airlines rarely focus on. Student club members can also be joined by students from Indonesia aged 18 to 30 years with a number of advantages.

Travel Activities in Bali

Based on McKinsey’s research, traveling is still an activity that people are interested in. This is a positive indicator that tourists will return to traveling. However, Jared said, it is still difficult to predict with certainty when the aviation industry will recover. Broadly speaking, recovery will depend on the policies and procedures taken by the government of a country towards foreign tourists. The looser the procedures and policies that are carried out, it is certain that it will have an impact on the increase in the number of foreign tourists who come to the country.

“Honestly, at the moment, the majority of us are still operating in a number of countries. Market share has started to return. Even though it’s not complete, it’s starting to look promising,” said the Vice President Sales for Qatar Airways South East Asia.
